Through a glass, darkly, is a good way to describe the slant on things that most of the art I'm into takes, in various ways. This is intended to provide a glimpse of what I find beautiful.

Dave McKean

For those not familiar with McKean's work from Sandman, various CD covers and graphic novels such as Arkham Asylum, Cages and Violent Cases, you are in for a treat. McKean's blend of found objects and carefully selected figures in bizarre arramgements, with deft digital manipulation and beautiful pieces of painting and drawing, creates dark, mysterious pastiches which draw the viewer in. Gaudi

You might wonder what an Architect is doing here if you're not familiar with Gaudi's work, but Gaudi's buildings are as much sculpture as architecture, on a grand scale. The Sagrada De Familia is, in my opinion, the most beautiful building in the world.

Bridget Riley

Bridget Riley is one of the few 'classic' practitioners of 'modern art' whose work I enjoy. It's not everyone's cup of tea, but Riley seems to me to be challenging the whole stuffy art world in a way her pale contemporaries such as Jackson Pollock could never dream.
